He was born on November 12, 1985, in Mountain City, Tennessee, to Richard Russom and Sarah McFadden Wilson. Remembering A.J. Russom

A.J. was a cherished member of the Mountain City community. He was a devoted member of Bethany Baptist Church and enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. He leaves behind a legacy of love and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A.J. is survived by his mother, Sarah Wilson; daughter, Allie Russom; son, Collin Dugger; sisters, Ruthie Canter and MaKayla Osborne; and brothers, Bradley Wilson, B.J. Porter, Kenny “Poohie” Mains, and Timmy Mains. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and the love of his life, Nikks. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Jake and Cora Lee McFadden; paternal grandparents, Glenn and Louise Nave Russom; and his stepfather, Jerry Wilson.

Funeral Services for Alex Russom

A funeral service was held to honor A.J.’s life at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux & Lipford Funeral Home. Clarence “Bubba” Cannon officiated the service. The family received friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Pallbearers and Burial

Doug McFadden, Gary McFadden, Josh Furchess, Scott Harrison, Bradley Wilson, Ruthie Canter, and Allie Russom served as active pallbearers. Danny Furchess, John Furchess, Ed Gentry, and Simon Osborne served as honorary pallbearers. Following the funeral service, A.J. was laid to rest in the Wilson Family Cemetery.
